### About journal

*Folia Mathematica* is a mathematical journal edited by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of University of Lodz since 1984 (previously as *Acta Universitas Lodziensis. Folia Mathematica*.

We greatly encourage you to submit papers containing new results or new proofs of known results in the following fields :

- Complex Analysis and Algebraic Geometry
- Control Theory and Calculus of Variations
- Differential Geometry and Theory of Foliations
- Differential Equations
- Functional Analysis
- Mathematical Biology
- Mathematical Modelling
- Nonsmooth Analysis and Optimization
- Numerical Analysis
- Probability Theory
- Real Functions and General Topology

### Aims and scope

Research articles pertaining to the above fields will also be considered. Each submitted paper is twice reviewed. Apart from the paperback edition we will publish the accepted papers in the electronic version of Folia Mathematica provided the author have given their consent. Some papers containig minor but still interesting to a wide mathematical audience results may be published only by electronic means. Call for such papers is directed mainly to students and younger researchers. The work of the Editors will be supported by the Editorial Board.

### Submission declaration

Submission of a manuscript to Folia Mathematica implies that the work contain original results and has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of an academic thesis or as an electronic preprint), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and that its publication is approved by all authors.
